A New Path Forward

Our children face unprecedented challenges: climate anxiety, social isolation, digital overload. Conventional education, designed for the industrial age, prioritizes conformity, achievement, and production over the well-being of children and communities.

The School of Interbeing offers a fundamentally different approach. We are the first K-8 school to translate Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings on peace, interbeing, and mindful living into a comprehensive educational model. Here, academic learning and contemplative practice support each other as pathways to a flourishing life.

As Thay said: "The next Buddha may take the form of a community, a community practicing understanding and loving-kindness."

We are gathering families to form such a community.

The Parent Interview is a meaningful conversation with members of our TNH School of Interbeing Seed Team and an important part of the application process. It is a time for us to connect personally around your application letter—to listen deeply, share openly, and explore how our intentions and values may align. Offered either in person or virtually, this interview invites us to imagine together what your child’s education could look and feel like within our learning community.
