A New Path Forward

Our children face unprecedented challenges: climate anxiety, social isolation, digital overload. Conventional education, designed for the industrial age, prioritizes conformity, achievement, and production over the well-being of children and communities.

The School of Interbeing offers a fundamentally different approach. We offer an education that combines rigorous progressive academics with applied mindfulness, ecological awareness, and ethical leadership, preparing children to thrive and to make a positive contribution to their communities and the Earth.

Inspired by the wisdom of peace activist and Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay), we believe in the power of community to bring healing to our world. In Thay's words "The next Buddha may take the form of a community, a community practicing understanding and loving-kindness."

We are gathering families to form such a community.

We welcome families called to raise children in community, carrying forward Thay’s vision of love in action, and co-creating a community where all grow together. Our process is an opportunity to sense whether our school’s rhythms and your family’s aspirations are in harmony.

Admissions Process

We are now accepting applications for mid-year enrollment in the current 2026-2027 school year, for students in TK (Transitional Kindergarten) through 4th grade. Enrollment for next school year (2027-2028) will be open to students in grades TK-8.

Parents and family members are warmly invited to an online session, in-person session, or recorded session to learn more about the Thich Nhat Hanh School of Interbeing — our vision, values, how to enroll your child, and how to support this new model of education. Discover what makes this school unique, meet our community, and explore ways to get involved.

Information sessions for mid-year enrollment in the current school year and for the 2027-2028 school year will begin late fall 2026. Sign up here to be notified when online & in-person Information Sessions begin.

Afterwards, you are invited to share your questions via Procare, our online registration program.

The Parent Interview is a meaningful conversation with members of our TNH School of Interbeing Seed Team and an important part of the application process. It is a time for us to connect personally around your application letter—to listen deeply, share openly, and explore how our intentions and values may align. Offered either in person or virtually, this interview invites us to imagine together what your child’s education could look and feel like within our learning community.

We aim to keep our admissions process simple, transparent, and supportive for families.

Tuition
Annual tuition for the 2027–2028 school year will be announced in fall 2026.
A 15% sibling discount is available for additional children enrolled from the same family.

Grade Levels
We are currently accepting students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Grade 4 (TK–4).

School Year
The academic year begins on August 17, 2026 and concludes on June 9, 2027.

Enrollment Deposit
A 20% deposit is required upon acceptance to secure your child’s enrollment.

After-Hours Care
After-hours care is available. Join an information session to learn more about our aftercare programs.
