A New Path Forward

Our children face unprecedented challenges: climate anxiety, social isolation, digital overload. Conventional education, designed for the industrial age, prioritizes conformity, achievement, and production over the well-being of children and communities.

The School of Interbeing offers a fundamentally different approach. We are the first K-8 school to translate Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings on peace, interbeing, and mindful living into a comprehensive educational model. Here, academic learning and contemplative practice support each other as pathways to a flourishing life.

As Thay said: "The next Buddha may take the form of a community, a community practicing understanding and loving-kindness."

We are gathering families to form such a community.

We welcome families called to raise children in community, carrying forward Thay’s vision of love in action, and co-creating a community where all grow together. Our process is an opportunity to sense whether our school’s rhythms and your family’s aspirations are in harmony.

We are now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Join us for an Information Session and Sharing Circle.

Parents and family members are warmly invited to an online session or in-person session to learn more about the Thich Nhat Hanh School of Interbeing — our vision, values, how to enroll your child, and how to support this new model of education. Discover what makes this school unique, meet our community, and explore ways to get involved. Register for the date and time that works best for you. Click on the date to register.

Afterwards, you are invited to share your questions via Procare, our online registration program and schedule a meeting time with our Initiating Director.
